Carolina Earth Movers Exhibit at Greenville’s 7th Annual Mix-n-Meet-n-Learn
(Greenville, NC) – Excavation company, Carolina Earth Movers (CEM) of Greenville gathered with other businesses at the 7th Annual “Mix-n-Meet-n-Learn” conference sponsored by the City of Greenville, Greenville Utilities and East Carolina University.
Chief Foreman and Project Manager, Jerone Coward (picture) and Kristel Coward manned the CEM exhibit table, greeting and talking about the many services the company performs as an estimated crowd of 100 was in attendance.
“Building Hope theme gives local businesses an opportunity to meet and network with each other from the local/regional area,” says CEM’s VP of Administration, Loyce Coward. “This event is a great idea by the sponsors so we can learn who’s-who in business and the variety of businesses in our marketplace.”

Carolina Earth Movers Appointed to Greenville Minority Business Roundtable
Carolina Earth Movers, Inc. (CEM) has been named a member of the City of Greenville Minority Business Roundtable, reports company Vice President, Loyce Coward.
Coward says the Roundtable provides an opportunity for small businesses to meet and share experiences and each company’s vision regarding work opportunities.
The Roundtable is associated with Greenville’s Minority and/Women Business Enterprise (M/WBE) Program. “The M/WBE program provides technical assistance to minority/women businesses in facilitating their participation in construction projects, purchasing, and professional and personal service contracts with the two organizations.”
Carolina Earth Movers was selected by North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) for their Project Legacy Program.
The company specializes in excavation, land development, heavy highway, demolition, clearing and grubbing.

Carolina Earth Movers named BOWD Success Story
CEM was honored as the 2011 Minority Business Enterprise of the year during the NCDOT’s Business Opportunity and Workforce Development Diamond Awards ceremony at the annual transportation conference in February. The NCDOT offers a variety of programs and services to assist small businesses in competing successfully for contracts with NCDOT.
